With trial courts digging their way out of the COVID-19 pandemic backlog, the Georgia Statewide Business Court presents an alternative for resolving complex disputes efficiently.

“We went from filing the case to being ready for trial in a year. That is a tremendous benefit for business litigants to not be languishing in the court,” said Aaron Kappler of Thompson, O’Brien, Kappler & Nasuti in Peachtree Corners. It could have taken twice the time in another trial court, he said. Kappler and William Diehl of his firm tried the first case in front of a jury in the business court last week.
