Georgia lawyers said the U.S. Supreme Court’s leak has potentially grave ramifications for the high court as an institution and could also end up having local repercussions if the abortion ruling ultimately turns out to be a final decision.

Late Monday, Politico reported on a leaked draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade. The landmark case, decided in 1973, legalized abortion nationwide and brought jurisdiction over the issue to the federal courts.
