Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp named two new solicitors general to prosecute misdemeanor crimes in the town of Ludowici, 235 miles southeast of Atlanta and Dallas, 50 miles northwest.

Kemp announced he has appointed Brooklyn Franklin to serve as solicitor general for the State Court of Long County, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Billy Nelson Jr. Franklin most recently served as interim solicitor general for Long County since March. Previously, she worked as an assistant district attorney for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit starting in July 2015.
