Two old friends presented a novel question about a new law at the Georgia Supreme Court Tuesday.

In a blue suit and purple tie instead of a black robe, Troutman Pepper partner and former Chief Justice Harold Melton made his first appearance before his former colleagues since he left the high court last year, arguing on behalf of the state’s biggest medical insurance provider, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
