In its third award of federal grant dollars aimed at addressing case backlogs, the Judicial Council of Georgia Ad Hoc Committee on American Rescue Plan Act Funding has awarded just under $3 million to nine Georgia circuits.

Effective June 1, the latest round of federal relief will go toward hiring court employees, and the creation of temporary offices and courtroom facilities as a means to address case backlogs.
