The South Carolina Court of Appeals has affirmed a trial court ruling suppressing evidence seized during a drug bust in 2017.

On appeal from Circuit Court Judge Frank R. Addy, the appeals court found that Deputy Andrew Hall’s tip from an unknown male was not sufficient grounds to conduct a knock-and-talk with plaintiff Sylvester Ferguson. Officers executed a search warrant and found materials used for making methamphetamine.
