When Gwinnett County voters didn’t receive absentee ballot applications and voting-related information in both English and Spanish during the 2020 election cycle, a group of plaintiffs sued Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and the Gwinnett County Board of Registrations and Elections, alleging the officials had violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

On the heels of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit upholding a district court’s dismissal of the lawsuit, plaintiff counsel are now discussing what, if any, next steps to take.
