Sonja Brown, a Cobb County Magistrate Court judge, has served in that role since January 2021 and has been practicing law for 17½ years.

According to her nominator essay, which was submitted by three of Brown's mentees, "Judge Brown invokes a momentum in everyone she mentors. She instills in her mentees the inherent virtue that we belong, are instrumental in discourse and have earned seats at tables. She reiterates the value in service to our local and civic communities and lawyering with integrity translated to achievement."
