It’s been more than a year since neighbors’ reports of a trespasser ended in the death of Matthew Zadock Williams inside his own home, after DeKalb County Police Sgt. Devon Perry opened fire and then delayed rendering first aid.

Despite multiple public protests, Perry has not been fired, arrested or prosecuted for Williams’ death. And a two-hour meeting between DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston and Williams’ family and legal team did nothing to change that Tuesday.
