A new ruling is showing the Georgia COVID-19 Pandemic Business Safety Act has teeth—and lawyers are taking note.
The Georgia Court of Appeals reversed a Fulton County State Court decision after determining the statute protected an Atlanta assisted-living facilities operator from liability associated with the COVID-19-related death of a resident early in the pandemic.
