Lin Wood, an Atlanta attorney who has backed former President Donald Trump in his challenges to the 2020 election results, has taken another hit in his defense against disciplinary charges stemming from his role in supporting false claims of voter fraud.

In an order filed Friday with the Georgia Supreme Court, the State Bar of Georgia’s State Disciplinary Board denied Wood’s motion to dismiss the bar’s formal complaint against him. According to the court document, Wood had argued that the complaint should be dismissed, citing the Civil Practice Act, including Chapters 9-11, which outlines rules of procedure regarding all courts of record.
