The Georgia Supreme Court has reversed a decision by the state’s Court of Appeals that affirmed a grant of summary judgment to Am Law 50 firm Proskauer Rose, allowing a couple’s legal-malpractice claims against them to move forward.

The court’s opinion, issued Sept. 7, stated that, despite the plaintiffs failing to file claims within the statute of limitations, they exercised “reasonable diligence” in uncovering the alleged fraud and did not possess that knowledge within the limitation period.
