The Supreme Court of Georgia honored one of its behind-the-scenes heroes Tuesday at the beginning of its oral arguments session.

Reporter of Decisions Jean Ruskell, who is retiring at the end of the year after serving both the Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals for a combined 27 years, was given the Supreme Court’s Amicus Curiae Award during a ceremony at the Nathan Deal Judicial Center in Atlanta, where both courts are located.
