As the ethics investigation of Christina Peterson inches closer to a 2023 hearing before the Judicial Qualification of Georgia, the Douglas County Probate Judge has filed motions seeking to dismiss 42 of the 50 counts of alleged judicial misconduct filed against her.

In addition to a motion in limine seeking to exclude “immaterial” and “irrelevant” evidence linked to alleged conduct before Peterson became a judge, Peterson’s counsel also filed motions to dismiss claims in at least 11 ethics complaints for failure to state a cause of action and motions for judgment on the pleadings with prejudice or, in the alternative, motion for summary judgment.
