On Nov. 17, as temperatures dropped below 30 degrees, Arnall Golden Gregory litigation partner David Marmins and real estate partner Andy Much participated in Covenant House Georgia's annual Sleep Out in Atlanta to show solidarity with youth facing homelessness and raise funds for the organization. The Sleep Out helps ensure Covenant House can continue to provide a space for youth to sleep safely and receive meals, education, workforce development, medical and mental health care and other essential services to help build better futures. At Sleep Out each year, sleepers give up their beds for the night to sleep outside and engage in an immersive experience learning from experts on the front lines of ending youth homelessness, connecting with the community and hearing from individuals who have overcome homelessness. This year, Covenant House also gave tours of its new facility that will house 30 long-term residents transitioning from the shelter to independence. This facility and Covenant House's services are made possible by the annual Sleep Out fundraiser. The organization raised more than $1 million, and Arnall Golden donated more than $29,000, well ahead of its $20,000 goal. The firm's community engagement committee organizes participation in philanthropic and volunteer efforts throughout the city with a primary focus on supporting Covenant House through engagement in its programs and volunteer opportunities. Earlier this year, Arnall Golden partnered with Covenant House to host a supply drive for much-needed bathroom essentials, spent a day landscaping its Atlanta campus and served dinner to its residents on two occasions.
