Philadelphia-based law firm Ballard Spahr is eyeing growth in the Southeast, with its new Atlanta office managing partner, Richard Miller, hopeful about opportunities to add “groups of lawyers.”

“The key goal is to grow our office,” Miller said in an interview, noting that among Ballard’s 600 attorneys firmwide, only 30 are in Atlanta. ”I think that Atlanta is a really terrific strategic market to be growing in. As corporate headquarters are moving down here to Atlanta more and more frequently, this city is just primed for additional growth and legal needs will grow as well.”
