With lawyers pulled in so many different directions, it can be hard to prioritize mentorship. In this week's episode, Natasha Cortes of Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen tells us how to make it happen, even with mounting workloads and pressures from economic uncertainty.
Cortes finds that carving out the time and space for deeper conversations with mentees is especially important for minority lawyers, who don't always feel like they can express themselves. Cortes said encouraging those team members to express their viewpoints not only strengthens the bond between mentors and mentees, but also the bonds that those law firms can make with their diverse clients.
