The Georgia State Senate has under consideration a bill that would indefinitely extend the length of time for certain immunities from liability claims regarding COVID-19 at the start of the 2023 legislative session.

The bill was introduced on Jan. 11 by Sen. Greg Dolezal and cosponsored by Sens. John Kennedy, Steve Gooch, Brandon Beach and Frank Ginn. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Jan. 13.
