Atlanta-based national law firm Hall Booth Smith experienced a data breach during the first weekend of February 2023. Hall Booth Smith’s managing partner John Hall Jr. confirmed a service disruption to the firm’s server but said their email and transfer programs were not affected.

The attack was first disclosed by a source in contact with an employee from Hall Booth Smith who declined to be identified for the story. “I think more specifically they cannot access their document management server,” the source wrote to the Daily Report in an email.
