Alston & Bird client Electrolux Home Products has secured a $5 million judgment after a 20-year-long contract dispute against its opponent, the Whitesell Corp. In addition to spanning multiple decades, the battle crossed state lines, saw dozens of attorneys come and go and brought in Husqvarna, a corporation that had not been part of the initial dispute.

Whitesell was represented by a series of attorneys from firms including Troutman Pepper, Aloia Roland and others. When asked for comment on the verdict, a representative from Whitesell said that the company “does not comment on pending litigation.” Amanda Waide, a partner at Alston & Bird, representing Electrolux, said she expects the company to appeal.
