TMX Finance Corporate Services Inc. was hit with a data breach class action Tuesday in Georgia Southern District Court arising from a data breach that occurred from Dec. 2022 to Feb. 2023. The court action contends that the personally identifying information of more than 4,822,580 individuals was made vulnerable. The lawsuit was filed by Morgan & Morgan; Barrack, Rodos & Bacine; and the Emerson Law Firm. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. This is at least the fourth data breach-related lawsuit filed against TMX in the past month and a half. The case is 4:23-cv-00134, Berry et al v. TMX Finance Corporate Services, Inc. et al.
