Judge Jeffrey Watkins, the newest addition to Georgia’s Court of Appeals was sworn in by Gov. Brian Kemp in the Georgia House of Representatives chamber on Tuesday.

Watkins joins the intermediate appellate court following the death of Judge Clyde Reese in December. Previously, Watkins was appointed to serve on the Cherokee Judicial Circuit Superior Court bench in 2019, to which he was elected for a second term.
