Maynard Nexsen’s addition of a former staffer for U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is the latest step in the Southeast firm’s “accelerated” plan to expand its lobbying and government affairs practice throughout the region, including Georgia, the firm said.

The firm added Lee Bonner, former deputy director of scheduling for McCarthy, in its Mobile, Alabama, office this month. Bonner will be a specialist on the firm’s government relations team and its NP Strategy public relations subsidiary.
