Environmental LawThe Center for Biological Diversity and other plaintiffs sued the United States Army Corps of Engineers and Michael Connor on Aug. 17 in Georgia Southern District Court. The court case, filed by Southern Environmental Law Center, seeks to challenge the Army Corps' reinstatement of two Clean Water Act approved jurisdictional determinations held by Twin Pines Minerals. It's the latest lawsuit in a series of legal battles regarding Twin Pines' plans for development near the swamp. The case is 5:23-cv-00080, National Wildlife Refuge Association v. United States Army Corps Of Engineers.
