Four (4) Square Biz and Stem Biotech owner Keith Crews was sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Aug. 17 in Georgia Northern District Court in connection with sales of his 'Stemy Coin' crypto asset. The suit alleges the defendant made material misstatements to investors about developing and selling stem cell products and having partnerships with entities engaged in stem cell research. The suit also alleges Crews sold Stemy Coin without filing a registration statement and failed to verify investors were accredited. The case is 1:23-cv-03658, Securities and Exchange Commission v. Crews.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
