A focus on litigation rather than transactional practice areas allowed some Atlanta law firms to beat national averages for demand and revenue in the first half of 2023, though they also had greater expenses and fees owed to them than other regions.

The Citi Global Wealth at Work Law Firm Group recently released a study of more than 200 national and international law firms’ business operations in the first half of 2023. Atlanta-based firms in the study included five ranked in the Am Law 100 and two unranked firms, said Michael J. McKenney, a senior client adviser who helped compile the study.
