Courts across South Georgia are closed on Wednesday as locals brace for Hurricane Idalia to make landfall. As of Wednesday morning, the Georgia State Supreme Court received emergency judicial orders closing the following courts on Wednesday:

According to a spokesperson from the state Supreme Court, there may be subsequent orders from other circuits as time goes on, depending on the path of the storm and its aftermath.

In addition to Wednesday's closures, Chatham County Recorder's Court Judge Joe Huffman vacated his traffic docket from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday and Chatham County Recorder's Court Judge Harris Odell has vacated his traffic docket from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.
