The string of success for constituents suing their government officials in the state of Georgia for online censorship continued this week, with a victory at the federal appellate level.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on Thursday affirmed a default judgment against former state Rep. Vernon Jones, who served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1993-2001 and 2017-21. Jones allegedly deleted and then blocked a constituent’s critical comments on Facebook.
