Retired Atlanta trial attorney L. Lin Wood was ordered to pay $42,445 in attorney fees for contempt of court in an ancillary issue of an attorney fee-splitting dispute between Wood and his former law practice partners on Monday.

The order was handed down by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee after the case came off hiatus with Judge Ural Glanville over the summer. The original fee-splitting agreement between Wood and his partners included a non-disparagement clause he later violated multiple times after making defamatory posts about plaintiffs Nicole Wade, Jonathan Grunberg and Taylor Wilson on the social media platform Telegram.
