The Atlanta Braves and professional outfielder Jorge Soler were hit with a premises liability lawsuit on Oct. 25 in Georgia Superior Court for Cobb County stemming from an Oct. 2021 World Series game against the Houston Astros. The lawsuit was brought by Susan B. Shaw Law on behalf of Mayra Norris and Scott Norris, who contend that Mayra’s eye was damaged due to a ball thrown overhand by Soler. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 23108343, Norris Mayra v Atlanta Braves Inc.
