UPS was sued on Oct. 27 in California Eastern District Court over alleged employment law breaches. The lawsuit, filed by Jill H. Coffman, the regional director of Region 20 of the National Labor Relations Board, centers on allegations that UPS threatened, disciplined or discharged its employees for engaging in union or protected activities. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant.

The lawsuit comes after Sandy Springs-based UPS avoided a union strike after both sides agreed to a deal in July, and it was finalized the next month. The case is 2:23-cv-02495, Coffman v. UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc.
