Fulton County Sheriff Patrick "Pat" Labat has filed seven lawsuits against Fulton County Tax Commissioner Arthur E. Ferdinand and other parties, including some Fulton cities and banks, to collect county tax funds that were diverted to the tax commissioner's office. In one case filed Oct. 27, Labat aims to collect $34,279.76 in excess funds from a property tax sale. That case is 2023-CV-38787-1, Patrick Labat, solely in his capacity as Sheriff of Fulton County v. Len Parks A/K/A Len David Parks, CIBC Bank USA, Inc. formerly known as The Private Bank And Trust Company, city of Atlanta, Arthur E. Ferdinand, in his capacity as Fulton County Tax Commissioner.
