Health CareCentene was hit with a civil RICO lawsuit on Nov. 7 in Georgia Superior Court for Gwinnett County. The lawsuit, brought by Jody D. Peterman LLC on behalf of Michelle Hendley, alleges that the defendant engages in a scheme to defraud low-income consumers by misrepresenting the medical benefits that members will receive. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 23-A-09712-7, Hendley v. Centene Corporation et al.
