Atlanta Office Technologies Inc. and Jeffrey Kramer were slapped with a trade secret lawsuit on Nov. 15 in Georgia Northern District Court. The court action, brought by Fellows Labriola LLP on behalf of Edge Business Systems, a business-to-business leaser and provider of printers, copiers and scanners, accuses Kramer of working with non-party and former Edge vice president of finance Christopher Schwarzer to illegally poach Edge's customers. According to the suit, Schwarzer ended his employment with Edge in 2017 but still had access to his login credentials at Great America Leasing, a platform that Edge used to finance its customers purchases. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:23-cv-05244, Edge Business Systems, LLC v. Kramer.
