A Georgia judge has found himself on the opposite side of the law after being arrested for one misdemeanor count of simple battery.

According to an arrest warrant issued Friday, Flint Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Brian Amero allegedly made intentional “physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature” with a female attorney six months prior. Amero is accused of “snatching [the attorney's] cellular phone from her hand in a forceful and aggressive manner” during an interaction at the Henry County Courthouse in June.
