Great American Alliance Insurance sued Doctors Hospital of Augusta on Dec. 14 in Georgia Southern District Court for alleged breach of contract. The court case, filed by the Weston Law Firm, arises from a workers’ comp dispute. According to the complaint, Doctors Hospital overcharged the plaintiff’s insured by double-billing for medical supplies, blood transfusions and medication. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:23-cv-00190, Great American Alliance Insurance Company v. Doctors Hospital of Augusta, LLC.
