Plaintiff's attorneys Robert Lamar of Lamar Archer & Cofrin and David Turner of Schulten Ward Turner & Weiss recently asked a Gwinnett County court for a new trial after a jury found in the defense's favor in a medical-malpractice action where they had asked for $9.1 million.
Jeffrey Peters of Peters & Monyak represented the defendant doctor Cullen Scott, an orthopedic surgeon who was sued by his former patient Jerry Turner after the site of a knee surgery became infected, necessitating several subsequent operations and ultimately a knee replacement.
