- The Georgia Court of Appeals ruled an EV charging station company can choose who its electricity provider is.
- Normally users are limited to getting electricity from whoever is the designated provider for their area.
- However, one judge dissented, saying she wasn't convinced that the company, and not its customers, is the end user of the electricity.
A divided Georgia Court of Appeals panel, on a 2-1 vote, determined that EV charging station companies qualify as individual electric utility users.
