The University of Georgia Law School held an awards ceremony on April 17 at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. Receiving the UGA Law School Association's highest honors were Athens attorney I. Kenneth "Ken" Dious; Thomas J. "Tom" Harrold Jr., Miller & Martin's International/World Law Group practice leader; and Judge Lisa Godbey Wood of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. The awards represent "dedication and service to the legal profession and the law school," the association said in a release. Wood also is on the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review and is a member of the university's law school Board of Visitors The Young Alumni/Alumnae of Excellence Award was presented to Ellen R. Clarke, who is security counsel at Google and teaches as an adjunct professor at UGA Law.
