The professional responsibility board governing bar discipline in Washington, D.C. on Friday recommended that former New York City mayor and Trump advisor Rudy Giuliani should be disbarred, finding that his conduct in the aftermath of the 2020 election violated professional standards.

“The seriousness of Respondent’s misconduct cannot be overstated,” the D.C. Court of Appeals Board on Professional Responsibility wrote in its report. “Relying ‘only on speculation, mistrust, and suspicion,’ … not facts, he attempted to deprive hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians of their right to vote.”
