National personal injury firm Morgan & Morgan did not register to do business in Georgia before it collected fees in numerous cases it handled in the state, including one in which it gave bad counsel to a sheriff’s deputy badly injured in a rear-end wreck, according to a recent lawsuit.

The suit alleging legal malpractice also seeks designation as a class action because Morgan & Morgan purportedly misled “numerous” clients in Georgia about its registration in the state, and individual claims would be “impractical” and “swamp the court system.”
