A U.S. bankruptcy Judge has formally terminated Rudy Giuliani’s bankruptcy proceeding, following a period of legal uncertainty prompted by assertions from the former U.S. attorney that he was unable to cover the administrative costs associated with dismissal.

The move, announced Friday, allows litigation across the country to resume against the former New York City mayor—including a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit by voting technology company Smartmatic, and a wage and sexual assault lawsuit by a former staffer to proceed in New York.
