Georgia May Be 'Purple,' But Its Lawyers Are Backing Kamala Harris With Their Wallets
Federal campaign contribution data shows the state's attorneys, particularly those in Big Law, giving more cash to Kamala Harris than Donald Trump this year.

Despite its status as a "battleground state" because of some close statewide races in recent years, many more Georgia lawyers appear to be supporting the Democratic presidential ticket with their dollars than the Republican ticket in 2024.
An analysis of federal campaign contribution data shows Georgia attorneys showing up in greater numbers and with more cash for Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota than for former President Donald Trump and running mate Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio.
