All Rockdale County Courts Relocating to New Judicial Complex
"Our current courthouse, where the Superior Court is located, was built in 1938 by the Roosevelt administration," said Rockdale Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Robert Mumford. "The major problem with the courthouse, besides its age, is the security arrangements are very difficult because of the layouts of the buildings and the entrances."

Work is underway to improve access to justice in Rockdale County with the construction of a new judicial and administrative complex in downtown Conyers.
Slated for completion in 2027, the facility will centralize all of the county's courthouses, improving ease of access for members of the public. In addition to also improving court functionality, jurists tell the Daily Report the design of the new complex will "vastly improve security," too.
