A proposed Georgia tax court would ease filing of appeals of state tax decisions through faster access to the court's location, but it won't immediately increase demand for tax lawyers' services, an Atlanta-based attorney says.
At the bottom of their Nov. 5 General Election ballot, Georgia voters are seeing a question about amending the state Constitution to create a tax court that would operate within the judicial branch of the government for taxpayer disputes with state revenue department actions.
