An automotive tort complaint filed in northwest Georgia's Gordon County Superior Court against DoorDash Inc. could soon test the strength of the online food order delivery provider's liability protections.

As spotted on Law.com Radar, plaintiff counsel with Morgan & Morgan in Alpharetta filed the complaint on behalf of a woman whose father died less than a month after being struck by a DoorDash delivery driver in August.

In addition to imputed liability against the corporate defendant, the complaint alleged negligence against the delivery driver for "a series of failures."
