Gov. Brian Kemp has handpicked Gwinnett County Assistant Solicitor General Vasco "Terry" McRae to serve as the newest judge on the Rockdale County State Court bench.

As he prepares for his judicial transition, McRae is opening up about what lawyers and litigants appearing before him can expect from the prosecutor-turned-judge.

On Nov. 15, Gov. Brian Kemp appointed McRae to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of former Chief Judge Clarence Cuthpert Jr. in March.
