Some Southeast-rooted firms were following the lead of their Am Law 50 counterparts this year by hiring more first-year associates, and recruiters believe optimism about the economy in 2025 is fueling much of the increase.
An informal survey by the Daily Report showed some Big Law and midsize firms with origins in the region increased their fall class sizes by an average of about 26%, with increases at individual firms topping out at 100%.
