- Big Law firms from the Southwest, Midwest and West Coast opened new offices in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee this year.
- Am Law 100 and Second Hundred firms from the Southeast also expanded into Texas, Florida and Chicago this year.
Big Law firms rooted in the Southeast did not sit idly by as those from other parts of the country moved to compete with them in cities such as Atlanta or Charlotte in 2024.
Alston & Bird and Ogletree Deakins, both founded in Atlanta, were among Am Law 100 and Second Hundred firms from the Southeast that expanded into existing or growing markets in Texas, Florida and Chicago this year.
