A dispute between software providers that a district judge once called a "David and Goliath" case has reached a $24 million settlement, attorneys involved in the litigation announced this week.

Lucasys, a tax depreciation software developer in Cummings, Georgia, agreed to settle its claims against the Atlanta-based corporation PowerPlan on Jan. 1. The accord requires PowerPlan to compensate Lucasys $24 million and also says the defendants can't engage in any retaliation, retribution or discrimination against any PowerPlan customer for doing business with Lucasys.
